As an Academy it is important for us to understand what gaps in knowledge students may have. To do this we run two main “assessment weeks” each year.
The first assessment week runs at the end of the autumn term, the second week runs towards the end of the summer term. During these periods all students sit exams for all subjects that they study. To support students for these assessments we change the structure of the school day during the assessment weeks. We also publish revision material in the build up to the assessment weeks and we expect students to be fully prepared to sit their assessments.
In between the 2 main assessment weeks we also complete a mid-point check towards the end of the spring term. This check ensures that students in Years 7 – 10 are not falling behind in their core subjects (English, Maths and Science) between the two main assessment weeks.
Year 11 students also complete a final pre-public exam during the second half of the spring term to ensure they are well prepared for their final GCSE examinations in May/June.

Please see the exam details for each year group below. You can also access useful documents and revision materials to support you with helping your child to develop their study skills. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you require any support or have any queries.
